“ If you're looking for a place with amazing Cajun style food, warm and fun atmosphere and just a great date night/day, look no further than Gulf Shores. Fantastic Service from friendly people and the incredible hard working owners who make sure you feel absolutely welcome. We love Gulf Shores. ”
“ We stopped in for a birthday celebration on a Tuesday night and had a wonderful time. Like many restaurants these days, there wasn't enough people working, but the food and drinks were worth the wait! The menu is huge and has daily specials, so we will have to come back on a different day and try something new! ”
“ The fried fish (snapper) was perfect. A very thin layer of batter kept the juiciness of the fish in, without being the slightest bit greasy. The seafood lasagne was rich without being over period and absolutely delicious. Red beans and rice were very flavorful without unnecessary heat. And the cheesy grits were understated yet flavorful. And so smooth. And the jambalaya -flavorful, juicy, with huge shrimp - and again, just enough spice. Finally ... eating the beignets was like being back on Canal Street at Cafe Du Monde. And our server, Ross, was friendly, knowledgeable, and always available without ever hovering. A perfect evening meal, enjoyed with a soundtrack of excellent music . We will be back. ”
“ This is such a fun restaurant and the food is great. I had the shrimp and crab cakes dinner (shrimp scampi) w coleslaw and red new potatoes. My companion had shrimp and grits. Both were good. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Great dining room, very nawlins feel. The service was great. The staff is very helpful and nice! I've been there before and will come back. There are some nights they have live music several nights and I understand it's super fun. ”
“ Unassuming... in a strip mall. Elroy and Jake greeting you outside the door. Walk in and immediately feel like you are in New Orleans. Friendly staff. Noisy. In a good way. Laughter, good conversations, Owner mingle around the room, greeting friends and strangers alike. Great menu full of authentic NOLA favorites. Had the calamari to open with. Classic NOLA batter with some bite. Yummy. Not too chewy either. While waiting on our entrees, our server brought us each a little sample cup of their homemade potato seafood chowder. So truth be told, I have never gone for seafood chowder. Ever. This was good! OMG. A plethora of different flavors tickling my tastebuds. Next came the entrees. Ribeye with green beans and wedge potatoes. Potato's were glazed with a light breading, and a mix of thyme and possibly rosemary. Very good. The beans were good too. The ribeye was cooked right and juicy. Nice flavor. Wife had a sirloin which was good. She had green beans and garlic mashed spuds. Said they were good. For desert she had the peach cobbler. It was plentiful and very good. I went for the banana cream pudding cheesecake. Oh dang... it was the ultimate ending to a great dinner. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area and looking for something priced reasonably and in a safe area. ”
“ Gulf Shores, what took me so long to visit? We started with the fried lobster ravioli and had to get a second order immediately! Even the 7 year old wanted more, perfect way to begin dinner. I got the sampler plate with fried catfish and andouille sausage and corn on the cob. I longed for a bigger stomach but alas, the portions are quite generous and I had to take some of the meal home. I would absolutely return for more. Oh and my drink was divine. Can't wait to sample more of the menu. ”
“ I had a taste for some cajun seafood and decided to give Gulf Shores a try. It's a small restaurant in a strip mall but easy to find. As soon as I arrived, there wasn't anyone ahead of me, but there was a small wait. The hostess greeted me immediately and was so nice. That's was a table and bar seating that became open at the same time. I decided to sit at the bar. Service throughout was great. No complaints. I ordered the hurricane, which was flavorful and strong. It doesn't come to you till later. I wish I would've ordered the sangria, but I didn't see it on their wall until after i ordered. Next time for sure. I wanted a little of everything, so i went with the rajun cajun. I wish the red beans and rice had more flavor. It was a tad bland and had too many large tomato chunks. Otherwise, everything else on my plate was really good. Their dipping sauces were so good, too. I ordered dessert to go. The beignets were good, and it would be great if it came with a dipping sauce, too. The peach cobbler had just the right amount of spices as well. I'll come back to try a few other items I saw on the menu. ”
